Fragments of times ages ago - a drifted wood from river or sea became bleached, a worn out broom from a factory hall, a hand wrought door knob or an ordinary branch - Claude Stockinger connect these findings to archaic figures and forms.
Is there the intention to train our magic consciousness or our ecological ? To impute such intentions to Claude would mean to limit his art. She invites us much more - seduces us really - to leave the plain of outstanding observation and dive into total new rooms of our own world of ideas and soul.
In preserving the old things, Claude provokes a certain reverence for the past, for that, what is fragmentary faced to us from history and stories.
